Eve Hewson

Eve Hewson, born Memphis Eve Sunnyday Iris Hewson on July 7, 1991, in Dublin, Ireland, is the second daughter of activist Ali Hewson and U2 lead singer Bono. Her unique name is derived from her birth time, 7 a.m. on July 7, with “eve” being the middle of “seven.” She attended the Dalkey School Project and St. Andrew’s College in Dublin before pursuing her acting education at the New York Film Academy in 2008 and later at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she graduated in 2013.

Hewson made her acting debut alongside her sister Jordan in the 2005 short film ‘Lost and Found,’ followed by her feature-length debut in ‘The 27 Club’ (2008). Despite initial parental reservations about her career choice, she steadily built her filmography. Her first major role came in the 2011 drama film ‘This Must Be the Place.’ She gained significant recognition for her role as Nurse Lucy Elkins in Steven Soderbergh’s critically acclaimed Cinemax TV series ‘The Knick,’ which aired from 2014 to 2015.
