Fabio Cannavaro

Fabio Cannavaro transitioned from a celebrated football player to a respected coach, known for his exceptional defensive skills and leadership on the field. He has commanded top-tier teams and national squads, showcasing his strategic prowess and ability to motivate players. After debuting with SSC Napoli’s first team in 1993, Fabio Cannavaro quickly established himself as a world-class defender, culminating in his historic achievement of leading the Italian national team to a World Cup victory in 2006. This career-defining year saw him become the first defender to receive the FIFA World Player of the Year award and also earn the prestigious European Footballer of the Year title.

This achievement earned him the Chinese Football Association Coach of the Year award in 2017.
