The brilliant man of the slopes Florent Troillet is a ski mountaineer. He is a Swiss Champion, and a World Champion, having won Gold in single. He also holds four World Championships Silvers for single, team, and relay, and a Bronze in relay. He is also a Bronze medal holder from the European Championships in relay.
Born and raised in Lourtier, Switzerland, Troillet has been skiing since a young age. He started competing in 1995 when he was 14-years-old, and has been a member of the Swiss National team since 1996. He became a member of the Dynafit Team in 2003, and in 2007 he was part of a team who climbed the Swiss side of the Matterhorn in a record time of 3 hours and 45 mins.
Troillet has won many events during his illustrious career, including the Trophée des Gastlosen in 2004, as well as coming first in the World Championships in the cadets and juniors division. He won the Swiss Championship single race in 2006, and the Dachstein Xtreme race the following year. He lifted the Trophée des Gastlosen again in 2008, and came first in the 2009 Valtellina Orobie World Cup race. In 2010 he came first in the World Championship single race.
