Florent Troillet

Florent Troillet secured his first World Championship title in 2004 in the ‘cadetts’ and ‘juniors’ category, following his integration into the Swiss national team in 1996 and the Dynafit team in 2003. This early success set the stage for a career marked by consistent skill and endurance in ski mountaineering. In 2004, he also achieved a first-place finish at the Trophée des Gastlosen with Pierre-Marie Taramarcaz. Two years later, in 2006, Troillet earned a third-place finish in the World Championship relay race, competing alongside Alexander Hug, Alain Rey, and Rico Elmer.

In 2009, Troillet continued his winning streak with a first-place finish at the Valtellina Orobie World Cup race and a third-place in the European Championship relay race with Marcel Marti, Pierre Bruchez, and Yannick Ecoeur. The year 2010 marked a career highlight for Troillet when he won the World Championship single race, further cementing his status as a top-tier athlete. Demonstrating his sustained dominance, he secured another first-place finish at the Patrouille des Glaciers, this time teamed with Martin Anthamatten and Yannick Ecoeur. His exceptional performance that year also included two silver medals at the World Championship: a second-place in the team race with Martin Anthamatten, and another second-place in the relay race, collaborating with Martin Anthamatten, Yannick Ecoeur, and Pierre Bruchez.

These achievements underscore his profound impact on Switzerland’s standing in international ski mountaineering. Florent Troillet continued to achieve strong results into 2012, securing a first-place victory at the Zermatt-Rothorn run. He also placed second at the Sellaronda Skimarathon, partnering with Pietro Lanfranchi, and earned another second-place finish at the Patrouille de la Maya alongside Martin Anthamatten and Yannick Ecoeur. His consistent high-level competition and numerous accolades have firmly established him as a leading figure in the sport of ski mountaineering.
