Freddy Rodriguez

Freddy Rodriguez gained significant recognition for his lead role as Federico Diaz on the acclaimed HBO series ‘Six Feet Under,’ which ran from 2001 to 2005. His performance earned him an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2002, alongside two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series for his work on the show in 2003 and 2004. Rodriguez also received four Imagen Awards during this period, including Best Supporting Actor for three consecutive years (2003, 2004, 2005). Earlier in his career, Rodriguez secured his film debut in ‘The Fence’ (1994), followed by roles as Pedro Aragon Jr.

in ‘A Walk in the Clouds’ (1995) and Jose in ‘Dead Presidents’ (1995), laying the foundation for his diverse career in film and television. Following his success on ‘Six Feet Under,’ Rodriguez expanded his film repertoire with a series of notable roles. In 2005, he appeared in films such as ‘Havoc’ and ‘Dreamer,’ and took a leading role in ‘Harsh Times.’ He continued with appearances in major features like ‘Poseidon’ (2006) and ‘Lady in the Water’ (2006). A significant highlight was his role as El Wray in Robert Rodriguez’s critically recognized ‘Planet Terror’ (2007), showcasing his versatility in genre cinema.

From 2016 to 2021, Rodriguez starred as Benny Colón in the popular CBS courtroom drama ‘Bull,’ appearing in an impressive 103 episodes. He has also lent his distinctive voice to a range of animated series, including ‘Teen Titans,’ ‘Ultimate Spider-Man,’ and ‘Scavengers Reign,’ in addition to several video games. More recently, Rodriguez returned to the big screen with a starring role in ‘V/H/S/85’ (2023) and joined the main cast of ‘Wu-Tang: An American Saga’ (2023), continuing his active involvement in both acting and producing.
