Genevieve Buechner was born on November 10, 1991, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Her interest in acting developed at a young age, leading her to enroll in a course at the Vancouver Youth Theatre. Her talent was recognized when she was scouted by Robert Carrier and subsequently signed to Carrier Talent Management in Vancouver. At the age of ten, Buechner secured the lead role in the independent film “Saint Monica” (2002), which marked her first film audition. The film achieved festival success, screening across North America and at international events such as the Berlin Film Festival, the Atlantic Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, and the Vancouver Film Festival. For her performance in “Saint Monica,” she received a nomination for a Canadian Leo Award for Best Lead Performance by a Female in 2003.
Buechner’s career continued to develop with roles in both film and television.
