Genevieve Buechner

Genevieve Buechner was born on November 10, 1991, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Her interest in acting developed at a young age, leading her to enroll in a course at the Vancouver Youth Theatre. Her talent was recognized when she was scouted by Robert Carrier and subsequently signed to Carrier Talent Management in Vancouver. At the age of ten, Buechner secured the lead role in the independent film “Saint Monica” (2002), which marked her first film audition. The film achieved festival success, screening across North America and at international events such as the Berlin Film Festival, the Atlantic Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, and the Vancouver Film Festival. For her performance in “Saint Monica,” she received a nomination for a Canadian Leo Award for Best Lead Performance by a Female in 2003.

Buechner’s career continued to develop with roles in both film and television. In 2005, she appeared in “Bob the Butler” alongside Brooke Shields, and in 2007, she was cast in the Canadian drama film “Mount Pleasant.” She gained further recognition for her recurring television roles, including Tamara Adama in the Syfy series “Caprica” (2009–2010), Fox in The CW’s “The 100” (2014–2016), and Madison in the Lifetime series “UnREAL” (2015–2018). Her work has also encompassed leading roles in M.O.W. productions and a commitment to independent filmmaking.

In 2023, Buechner took on a significant role in the video game industry, providing both the voice and motion capture for the character of Ashley Graham in the remake of “Resident Evil 4.” This expanded her portfolio to include performance capture, demonstrating her versatility across different forms of media. Throughout her career, Buechner has accumulated diverse credits, contributing to various projects that have garnered critical attention and audience engagement.
