Producer, director and writer George Cameron Romero has worked on 6 feature films and numerous television commercials.
After years of working as a crew member on film sets and travelling around the country to build up his skills, Romero started up his own creative agency, and began winning clients straight away with his no nonsense, affordable approach. Since then he has worked on countless high profile advertising campaigns and opened his own film production company, Batpack studios. Romero directed feature films including The Auctioneers, The Screening and Singham Returns, as well as providing young producers and film industry professionals with a space to hone their skills. He also started up another venture, called Films Used to Be Dangerous with which he produced smaller projects and short films. Most recently he has directed short films such as For the Record, Zombie Day Apocalypse and branched out into the world of television. He directed 16 episodes of Indie Brigade from 2019 to 2020, and currently has multiple projects in the pipeline. These include documentary The Road to Beverley, action movie Rise, comedy film Killing Winston Jones, and supernatural thriller Son of the Dawn.
Romero is one of the most in-demand producers and directors working today, and juggles commercial advertising work with passion projects and creative movie direction. He’s already had a glittering career for more than 20 years, and looks set for many more years of high profile film and television work to come.
