Georgia Louise Harrison was born in Redbridge, London, on December 12, 1994. Before her television career, she worked as a personal assistant. Her debut on screen came in 2014 with an appearance on “The Only Way Is Essex.” She later gained further recognition in 2017 as a contestant on “Love Island.” Following her time on “Love Island,” Harrison expanded her television presence, participating in shows such as “The Challenge: War of the Worlds” in 2019, where she competed across two series, and “Celebrity Ex on the Beach” in 2020. She also appeared in “Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins” in 2024, achieving joint first place in her series. In 2024, she returned to the “Love Island” franchise for “Love Island: All Stars.”
A significant turning point in Harrison’s career and public life began in December 2020 when she became a victim of image-based sexual abuse. Her former partner, Stephen Bear, uploaded private footage of them to his OnlyFans account without her consent. Harrison pursued legal action, and in December 2022, Bear was convicted of voyeurism and disclosing private sexual photographs and films, receiving a 21-month prison sentence. She waived her right to anonymity to raise public awareness and advocate for other victims. Her experience was documented in the ITV2 documentary, “Revenge Porn: Georgia vs Bear,” released in March 2023.
Following these events, Harrison has become a notable campaigner against sexual abuse and for online privacy. Her advocacy contributed to reforms in the Online Safety Act, which passed in October 2023. She has collaborated with organizations and police forces on consent education initiatives. In recognition of her services to the prevention of violence against women and girls, and her campaigning for online privacy and cybercrime, Harrison was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours. She was also named one of the BBC’s 100 Women in November 2023 for her influential work.
