Giorgio Malan

Giorgio Malan was born on January 27, 2000, in Turin, Italy. From an early age, he participated in various sports including swimming, karate, and skiing before discovering modern pentathlon around the age of eight. His athletic career has seen him achieve notable results on the international stage, culminating in multiple medals at European and Olympic competitions. He represents Italy in modern pentathlon, a sport combining fencing, swimming, equestrian show jumping, and a laser run event.

Malan’s career progression includes significant milestones. In 2018, he secured a bronze medal in the team relay at the Junior World Championships. The year 2023 marked a turning point with a gold medal in the individual competition at the European Games in Kraków-Małopolska, Poland, where he also earned a bronze medal in the team event. He continued his success into 2024, winning gold medals in the team and relay events at the European Modern Pentathlon Championships in Budapest, alongside a silver in the individual competition.
