About

Glenn Beck was born on February 10, 1964, in Everett, Washington. His early life was marked by significant personal challenges, including the death of his mother when he was 15 and his own struggles with substance abuse. He graduated from Sehome High School in Bellingham, Washington, in 1982. At 18, he began his radio career at KAYK in Provo, Utah, and later worked at WPGC in Washington, D.C. These early experiences in radio laid the groundwork for his eventual rise in broadcast media.

Beck founded Mercury Radio Arts in 2002, a media platform that serves as the parent company for his various ventures across broadcast, publishing, and digital media. His nationally syndicated “Glenn Beck Radio Program” launched in 2000, quickly gaining significant listenership and expanding to 47 stations by 2002. From 2006 to 2011, he hosted the “Glenn Beck” television program on HLN and later Fox News, where it became one of the highest-rated news commentary shows. In 2011, Beck launched TheBlaze, a subscription-based internet TV network, further expanding his reach.

Throughout his career, Beck has authored multiple New York Times–bestselling books, covering both non-fiction and fiction. He has also engaged in various public speaking tours and rallies, including the 9-12 Project and the Restoring Honor rally, which attracted large audiences. His philanthropic endeavors include founding Mercury One in 2011, a nonprofit focused on humanitarian aid and preserving heritage. Beck’s career is characterized by his ability to connect with a conservative audience through diverse media channels and his active involvement in political and social discourse.
