Grant Shapps

Grant Shapps founded PrintHouse Corporation in 1990, establishing a successful business focused on design, print, website creation, and marketing. Demonstrating a keen entrepreneurial spirit, he further expanded his ventures with a web publishing business, How To Corp Limited. His transition into public service began by contesting a local ward in Manchester in 1990, followed by parliamentary seats in North Southwark and Bermondsey in 1997, and Welwyn Hatfield in 2001. Shapps was successfully elected as the Member of Parliament for Welwyn Hatfield in 2005, a position he commendably held until 2024, quickly rising to Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party in 2005 and Shadow Housing Minister in 2007.

He subsequently served as Home Secretary in 2022, before taking on the role of Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from 2022 to 2023. His portfolio further expanded in 2023 as he was appointed Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, and later that year, Secretary of State for Defence. Throughout his extensive career, Grant Shapps has consistently demonstrated an ability to navigate critical national and international challenges.
