Greg Pruitt

Greg Pruitt transitioned from a standout college athlete to a Pro Bowl running back and Super Bowl champion in the NFL. After achieving unanimous All-American recognition in both 1971 and 1972, Greg Pruitt established a distinguished college football career at the University of Oklahoma. Earning First-team All-Big Eight honors in both years and being named Big Eight Player of the Year in 1971, Pruitt showcased exceptional versatility and offensive prowess. During his collegiate tenure, he accumulated 3,122 rushing yards, 491 receiving yards, 139 punt return yards, and 679 kickoff return yards, tallying an impressive 41 career touchdowns.

Pruitt concluded his illustrious NFL career in 1984, leaving behind a remarkable professional record including 5,672 rushing yards, 3,069 receiving yards, 47 total touchdowns, and an impressive 13,262 all-purpose yards. In recognition of his foundational impact on college football, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999.
