Leeza Mangaldas is an Indian sex educator and entrepreneur dedicated to normalizing conversations around sexuality and promoting sexual wellness. After establishing a dynamic early career in media and entertainment, including co-founding Evoke India, an organization dedicated to curating speaker events, and holding a lead role in the 2014 film ‘W,’ Leeza Mangaldas transitioned her focus to become a leading voice in sex education and sexual wellness advocacy. Prior to this, she contributed an opinion article on related societal issues in 2013 and also worked as a newscaster and sports reporter, notably covering the Indian Super League. In 2017, Mangaldas launched her YouTube channel, where she began publishing accessible sex education videos in English, covering topics such as sex, sexuality, gender, sexual health, relationships, and the body.
Her commitment to this field quickly led to content creation becoming her full-time occupation by 2018. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she expanded her content offerings to include videos in Hindi, significantly broadening her audience reach. Her foray into podcasting commenced in 2021 with ‘Love Matters,’ a collaborative production by The Indian Express and Deutsche Welle, swiftly followed by the launch of ‘The Sex Podcast with Leeza Mangaldas’ on Spotify in December 2021. Building on her digital success, Mangaldas authored ‘The Sex Book: A Joyful Journey of Self-Discovery,’ published by Harper Collins in October 2022, with an audio version simultaneously released on Audible.
Expanding her entrepreneurial footprint in the sexual wellness space, Mangaldas founded Leezu’s in 2023. This brand offers a range of products, including massagers and lubricants, further solidifying her commitment to normalizing conversations around sexuality and promoting comprehensive sexual wellness.
