Hina Hayata

Hina Hayata established herself as a formidable international table tennis athlete, notably contributing to the Japanese girls’ team that secured a gold medal at the 2016 World Junior Table Tennis Championships. During this championship event, she further distinguished herself by earning silver medals in both girls’ doubles and mixed doubles. Hayata swiftly transitioned to the professional circuit, winning multiple doubles titles on the ITTF World Tour, including securing the prestigious Grand Finals in both 2016 and 2018. Her powerful, dual-winged left-handed attack generates significant spin, making her a formidable opponent.

In 2023, Hayata achieved a remarkable ‘triple crown’ at the All Japan Table Tennis Championships, sweeping women’s singles, women’s doubles (with Mima Ito), and mixed doubles (with Tomokazu Harimoto). At the 2023 ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals in Durban, she secured a silver medal in mixed doubles and a bronze in women’s singles. Later that year, her dominance extended to the WTT Contender series, where she won singles titles at Rio de Janeiro, Muscat, and Antalya. Most recently, in 2024, Hayata earned a bronze medal in Women’s Singles and a silver medal as part of the Women’s Team at the Paris Olympics, solidifying her status as a global elite table tennis player.
