The American political scientist and founder of Eurasia Group Ian Bremmer PhD specialises in US foreign policy and global political risk.
Having received his PhD from Stanford University studying political science, he is now the founder and president of the world’s leading political risk consultancy Eurasia Group. With a network of experts across 90 countries, the firm provides clients around the world with analysis of political developments that shape markets and investment environments. It was alongside the organisation in 2001 that Bremmer created the first global risk index (GPRI) for Wall Street, which has since become an academic discipline and an industry standard. In addition, Bremmer is the founder of GZERO media which provides international coverage of international affairs via the weekly national TV show GZERO World with Ian Bremmer. An industry leader, Bremmer is also a regular guest on networks around the world including the BBC, CNN and Fox News.
Alongside his career, Bremmer is a prolific writer having written ten books, including Us vs Them: The Failure of Globalism which has since become a New York Times bestseller. He is also a writer for Time Magazine as their foreign affairs columnist and editor at large. Currently teaching at the prestigious Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, Bremmer is also a former professor at New York University. Of his philanthropy work, Bremmer founded the Eurasia Group Foundation in 2016, which helps inspire individuals to understand the impact and get involved with geopolitics.
