Inanna Sarkis

Inanna Sarkis is a Canadian actress of Bulgarian and Assyrian descent, born in Hamilton, Ontario. Her parents immigrated to Canada, where she learned English upon starting school, having primarily spoken Bulgarian and Assyrian at home. Her initial interest in acting emerged during high school drama classes, but she pursued a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice at Ryerson University. During her studies, Sarkis worked in various roles to save money, eventually relocating to California to pursue a career in acting, engaging in intensive study at acting studios while working as a bartender.

Sarkis transitioned into content creation, developing a significant online presence through comedy skits and short films that she wrote, directed, and starred in. This digital success led to opportunities in the film and television industry. Her filmography includes roles such as Molly in the “After” film series, appearing in “After” (2019) and “After We Collided” (2020). She played Alice in the horror film “Séance” (2021) alongside Suki Waterhouse. In television, Sarkis recurred as Becky in the Netflix comedy “Brews Brothers” (2020) and secured a lead role in the Amazon pilot “College” (2019) by Jill Soloway and Channing Tatum. She also lent her voice to the QCode podcast series “The Left Right Game” (2020) with Tessa Thompson.

In 2022, Sarkis created and starred in her own podcast, “Zaya,” which reached the number one spot on Apple’s Fiction Podcast list, aiming to portray a powerful Middle Eastern female lead. In addition to her entertainment career, Sarkis has engaged in humanitarian work, serving as a global ambassador for the International Medical Corps. She has contributed financially and raised awareness for the Syrian Refugee Crisis, demonstrating a commitment to social causes.
