The wonderfully gifted Javier “Harvey” Guillén is an actor, producer and writer, best known for his hilarious and acclaimed role as the human familiar Guillermo de la Cruz in the hit TV comedy-horror series, What We Do in the Shadows.
Born and raised in Orange County, California to Mexican immigrants, Guillén always wanted to perform and adopted the name Harvey when his teachers couldn’t pronounce his given first name properly. He started acting in 2008 in the TV series Miss Guided, and has since gone on to build a hugely successful career on screen. He has appeared in countless film and TV productions, including Huge, General Education, The Internship opposite Vince Vaughn and Own Wilson, Eye Candy, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, iZombie, The Thundermans, Into the Dark, The Magicians, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, and, of course, What We Do in the Shadows. He also provides the voice for Funny the Magic House in the children’s animated series, Mickey Mouse Funhouse
Guillén regularly connects with his legions of followers and fans through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about his life in and out of the shadows! He is also available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform.
