Jackie Bradley Jr, known by his nickname JBJ, is a brilliant baseball center fielder who plays for the Milwaukee Brewers in the MLB. He was an All Star in 2016, and was named the most valuable player of the 2018 American League Championship Series. Particularly known for his capabilities in the outfield, he was awarded a Gold Glove in 2018.
Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Bradley played baseball throughout his youth, and was named to the 2008 Virginia AAA All-State team when he was 18-years-old. The same year, Baseball America listed him as the 40th-best Virginia-based baseball prospect for the 2008 MLB draft. Bradley attended the University of Carolina and began his college baseball career with the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2009. During the following summer, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Hyannis Mets of the Cape Cod Baseball League. In 2010 his impressive game record in the 2010 College World Series saw him earn the CWS Most Outstanding Player honor. His professional career then kicked off when he was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 2011 MLB draft, and he made his Minor League debut that August with the Lowell Spinners. After being named Minor League Defensive Player of the Year by the Red Sox organisation for the 2012 season, Bradley was promoted to the opening day left fielder for the Red Sox in 2013. He split his time between the Pawtucket Red Sox and Boston for the next few seasons, before becoming a regular fixture for Boston, and 2018 saw him receive his first Rawlings Gold Glove Award. He remained with the Red Sox until 2020, and on March 8, 2021, he officially signed a two-year, $24million contract with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Bradley regularly connects with his legions of adoring fans through Instagram and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about all things baseball. He is also available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform.
