Jackie Martling, also known as Jackie the Joke Man, is an American stand-up comedian, writer, radio personality, author, actor, and musician. He is best recognized for his role as a writer and in-studio comedian on *The Howard Stern Show* from 1983 to 2001. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Martling began his stand-up career in 1979, performing in local venues and quickly establishing a reputation for his edgy jokes. He self-produced his first comedy album, *What Did You Expect?*, in 1979, showcasing his early talent. His big break came when he became a regular feature on Rick Dees’s radio show, which led him to send his albums to Howard Stern.
