Best known for his appearances in numerous television dramas, Kim Jaewon has starred in Romance, May Queen and The Scandal.
Jaewon has appeared on television since 2001, when he made his debut as an actor in the sitcom Honey Honey. Over the next few years his reputation started to grow with parts in Rival, My Love Patzzi and Land of Wine, and he landed his first film part in 100 Days with Mr Arrogant. This up and coming actor continued to make regular appearances on television throughout the early noughties, including in shows Wonderful Life, First Love and Listen to My Heart. He is credited with being partly responsible for the worldwide rise in popularity of Korean pop culture, sometimes known as the Korean Wave. Jaewon now has fans all over the world who love watching his shows and he is one of the most recognised names in South Korean culture. Following a moped accident which saw him take a break from acting for nearly a year, he returned in 2012 television drama May Queen. He won a Top Excellence Award at the MBC Drama Awards for the performance and soon after was cast in The Scandal.
In 2014 Jaewon made his reality TV debut when he was cast in Four Sons and One Daughter. He was also selected to host current affairs show The Real Story Eye, before returning to the small screen in 2015 with Splendid Politics. Jaewon continues to appear on television in shows such as Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant and Let Me Introduce Her.
