Jannik Obenhoff, born on July 3rd, 2000, is a German freelance photographer who specializes in outdoor, landscape, and adventure photography. His work primarily focuses on capturing the beauty and diversity of natural landscapes, particularly the Alpine scenery of Germany. Obenhoff began his photography journey by capturing images of his hometown, Munich. Approximately three years before 2017, he started posting his photographs on Instagram, quickly gaining attention. A significant turning point in his career occurred when he participated in a photo tour in the mountains with other Instagrammers, leading him to fully embrace landscape photography. His early interest in nature, cultivated through childhood hiking trips with his parents, informed his passion.
By March 2017, Obenhoff had amassed 540,000 followers on Instagram, where he consistently uploads photos, responds to comments, and interacts with his audience.
