Jasmine Tookes established herself as a prominent figure in the fashion industry, beginning her career with impactful commercial campaigns for UGG Australia and Gap in 2010. She quickly gained international recognition with a Spring 2011 DKNY campaign and a coveted editorial spread in Vogue Italia. Her rising profile was further cemented in September 2011 when Models.com recognized Tookes as one of the top 10 new models, followed by Style magazine naming her its top new model in November 2011, acknowledging her performance in major Spring Fashion Shows. A significant milestone in Tookes’ career came in 2012, when she was selected as one of eleven new models to debut in the highly anticipated Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Her extensive portfolio includes numerous editorials for international editions of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Numéro, W, and V, alongside runway appearances for major fashion houses such as Burberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, Carolina Herrera, and Balmain. Expanding her influence beyond the runway, Tookes ventured into entrepreneurship, co-founding JOJA, an activewear company, with fellow Victoria’s Secret Angel Josephine Skriver in February 2022. She further diversified her brand by launching her beauty brand, Brunel, in May 2025, which focuses on body care products. In a groundbreaking moment in October 2025, Tookes opened the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show while pregnant with her second child, becoming the first pregnant woman and the second Black model to achieve this feat.
