The young, vivacious, self-taught DJ, better known as DJ Shalé, originates all the way from Regensburg, Germany. Since the age of six, Jay has been surrounded by music and played a wide variety of instruments. She views music as therapy, and exudes such a passion, energy and love for it, the crowd can’t help but love her mixes.

Jay was first introduced to the DJ world in 2016, when trying to promote her own songs. She befriended some people from the local radio station, and was promptly told that the best way to get her music out there was through the DJ’s. As soon as she saw them do their thing, Jay thought, I can do this. And she sure could. The public very quickly fell in love with her spunky, fun throwback mixes and enigmatic presence on stage. In 2017, a mere year since starting, Jay was already the resident DJ for 3 of the hottest Indianapolis clubs. Later that year she performed at the 400 Fest at the Brickyard, alongside major acts such as the Chainsmokers. Thanksgiving weekend 2017 saw her DJing the Colts vs. Titans game. In 2018 Jay moved to Atlanta, where she performed with some of the hottest stars yet the likes of Cardi B, Gucci Mane and Lil Baby, for the Superbowl weekend.

The self-made DJ hasn’t forgotten her first passion, and still writes her own songs. Her most recent record, Fool, topped 50K streams in less than a month. This was also the first of her songs which Jay produced. DJ Shalé is an inspiration to any young creatives hesitant of whether they can succeed in the tough world of performance. To them she says “stay true to who you are”, just like she has always, and continues to do, everyday.
