Jedward

The fabulous musical twins John and Edward Grimes, who are better known as Jedward, are an award-winning Irish singing and presenting duo. They are also actors, models, and philanthropists, who first hit the limelight after appearing as John & Edward on the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009. They represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011, and 2012, and were runners-up in the reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother 19 in 2017.

Born and raised in Dublin, identical twins John and Edward were gifted from a young age and regularly competed in talent shows. In 2008 they formed a duo and the following year auditioned for the sixth series of the reality TV talent show The X Factor as John & Edward, and became known for their unpolished but enthusiastic performances. They came sixth overall and after the show sealed a management deal and a recording contract. Their debut single, Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby), was released in 2010 and the Jedward phenomenon was born. Sell-out tours, award shows, and No.1 hit records and albums followed. Their debut and second album, Planet Jedward, and Victory, went Platinum, and their third album, Young Love, was certified Gold. They have continued to forge a hugely successful career both on stage, if front of the cameras, and as models.
