Jeff Ross

Jeff Ross, known as the “Roastmaster General,” is an American stand-up comedian, actor, director, and producer who has turned insult comedy into a distinctive art form, regularly engaging with audiences in person and on screen. After being invited to participate in a roast of Steven Seagal by the New York Friars Club in 1995, Jeff Ross rapidly established himself as a prominent figure in insult comedy. By that same year, he was a regular at esteemed New York comedy clubs including the Comedy Cellar and Stand Up NY. Ross’s reputation solidified as he became a consistent presence at Friars Club roasts, earning him the celebrated moniker ‘Roastmaster General.’ His breakthrough to televised audiences came with the Friars Club’s roast of Drew Carey in 1998, broadcast nationally on Comedy Central.

He embarked on the acclaimed ‘Bumping Mics’ comedy tour with Dave Attell in 2018. His roasting expertise was further showcased on Netflix with the series ‘Historical Roasts’ in 2019, the same year he appeared on an episode of ‘Crank Yankers.’ Most recently, Jeff Ross co-hosted the highly anticipated ‘Roast of Tom Brady’ for Netflix in 2024, continuing his legacy of high-profile roasts. He is set to make his Broadway debut with his one-man show, ‘Take A Banana For The Ride,’ in 2025 and is slated to perform at the Riyadh Comedy Festival in the same year, demonstrating his ongoing global appeal and diverse performance portfolio.
