Jack Kilmer

Jack Kilmer, born John Wallace Kilmer on June 6, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, is an American actor with dual American and British citizenship through his parents, actors Val Kilmer and Joanne Whalley. Raised in a creative environment, Kilmer initially pursued interests in music, playing guitar and drums, and was part of a band called Glimmer. His entry into acting was unexpected; he was approached by filmmaker Gia Coppola, a former schoolmate, to review a script for ‘Palo Alto’ (2013). This interaction led to him auditioning successfully for the role of Teddy, marking his professional acting debut. This film also provided him with an early opportunity to work alongside his father.

Following ‘Palo Alto’, Kilmer committed to an acting career. He gained recognition for his role as Chet in the film ‘The Nice Guys’ (2016) and for his portrayal of the late black metal musician Pelle “Dead” Ohlin in the biographical horror film ‘Lords of Chaos’ (2018). His career progression includes diverse projects, showcasing his range as an actor in both independent and mainstream productions. Notably, Kilmer provided extensive narration for the documentary ‘Val’ (2021), which chronicled his father’s life, and a voice role as Madmartigan in the Disney+ series ‘Willow’ (2022-2023).
