Jenia Grebennikov

Jenia Grebennikov is a French professional volleyball player known for his role as a libero with the French national team and top Italian clubs. He has achieved numerous titles, including Olympic gold medals and European Championships. After securing his first national title, the French Cup, in 2012 with Rennes Volley 35, Jenia Grebennikov rapidly established himself as a dominant libero. During his decade with Rennes Volley 35, he earned individual distinctions as Best Libero of the French Championship in both 2011 and 2012, and was named Most Valuable Player in 2012.

Concurrently with his club successes, Grebennikov’s influence on the French national team solidified, achieving gold medals at the 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League and the 2015 European Championship, where he was recognized as Best Libero in both events. He followed this with a World League bronze in 2016 and another gold in 2017. In 2018, Grebennikov transferred to Diatec Trentino, immediately making a pivotal contribution to their victory at the 2018 FIVB Club World Championship, where he was again named to the Dream Team. His success with Trentino continued with a CEV Cup title in 2019.

Most recently, Grebennikov secured his second Olympic gold medal at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, where he again earned the distinction of Best Libero, solidifying his legacy as one of the sport’s most decorated and influential players.
