Swedish cross country skier Jens Burman represents his country at international competitions, having competed in the 2018 Olympic Games.
Burman’s career began with appearances at the Junior World Championships. Even in his early career he achieved great success, winning a silver medal in 2014 at the Junior World Championships held in Val De Fiemme. His World Cup debut came a year later in Finland, and he went on to win another Junior World Championship medal in 2016, this time a gold. From there his career really took off, with appearances in the World Cup over the next few years. In 2017 he won the silver medal in the Under 23 standing, the same year he competed in the World Championships for the first time. This young athlete was quickly climbing the ranks in the skiing world, and becoming known as one to watch on the scene. Burman qualified to compete for Sweden at the 2018 Olympic Games when he was aged just 23 years old. He finished fifth in the 4 x 10km relay event which set him up for the following year where he appeared at both the World Championships and the World Cup, putting in great performances at both major competitions.
Most recently, Burman has competed in the World Cup for the sixth time, achieving his best ever overall result in the 2020 tournament. This Swedish athlete continues to prove he’s one of the most skilful skiers competing today.
