Jesse Itzler, born on August 22, 1968, and raised in Roslyn, New York, embarked on his diverse career after graduating from American University in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in justice, law, and society. He initially found success in the music industry, signing with Delicious Vinyl records and releasing his debut album under the pseudonym Jesse Jaymes in 1991. His single “Shake It Like A White Girl” reached 74 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1991. Itzler also wrote and sang the New York Knicks theme song “Go New York Go” in 1992, along with original songs for over 50 professional sports teams. He further contributed to sports entertainment by writing and singing the Emmy Award-winning song “I Love This Game” and producing the theme song for _Inside the NBA_.
Itzler’s entrepreneurial journey began in 1996 when he co-founded Alphabet City Sports Records with Kenny Dichter, a company specializing in mixing arena songs with historical play-by-play calls. This venture was successfully sold to SFX in 1998. In 2001, he co-founded Marquis Jet, a private jet card company, where he served as Vice Chairman. Marquis Jet was later acquired by Berkshire Hathaway, a company led by Warren Buffett, in 2009. This acquisition marked a significant milestone in Itzler’s business career, demonstrating his ability to build and scale successful enterprises.
In 2009, Itzler founded The 100 Mile Group, a brand incubator and accelerator. Through this company, he established a partnership with ZICO Coconut Water, which was subsequently acquired by The Coca-Cola Company in 2012. Beyond his business ventures, Itzler is also a best-selling author, with his book _Living With a SEAL: 31 Days Training With the Toughest Man on the Planet_ becoming a _New York Times_ Best Seller in 2015.
