French-born but Australian by citizenship, Jessica Fox is a world champion slalom canoeist who has been widely recognised on the international circuit since 2008. Her most significant achievement was a silver medal at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, where she took 2nd place in the K1 event on her Olympics debut. Fox found continued success at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where she won a bronze medal participating in the same event.
One of the sport’s most promising talents, Fox has won fifteen medals in the ICF Slalom World Championships. This total includes a staggering ten golds, three silvers and two bronzes: the seven gold medals she’s earned at the tournament make her the most successful paddler of either gender in the history of the World Championships. Fox has earned several honours thanks to her success in the world of slalom canoeing: in 2011, she was named as the Australian Canoeing Athlete of the Year, before being given the AIS Secondary Education award in 2011. This was followed by the AIS Sport Performance Awards accolade for Athlete of The Year in 2014, and the award for Female Athlete of the Year in 2018. Jessica Fox is one of the most talented athletes in slalom canoeing, as her career continues to progress with every year and every medal won.
