Viktoria Wolffhardt

Viktoria Wolffhardt, born on June 26, 1994, in Tulln an der Donau, Austria, began her canoeing career at the age of eight. Her parents, both kayakers, introduced her to the sport, cultivating her early passion for being on the water and the dynamics of speed and waves. She made her senior international debut in 2009 at the World Championships in La Seu d’Urgell, Spain, marking the beginning of a competitive career in both K1 and C1 events. A significant early achievement was a K1 bronze medal at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore, which provided a foundation for her subsequent successes.

Throughout her career, Wolffhardt has demonstrated consistent high-level performance. She has secured three team world medals, including two silver medals in K1 team events at the 2014 Deep Creek Lake and 2017 Pau ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, and a bronze in the C1 team event at the 2015 London World Championships. Her individual achievements include a C1 European Championship title in 2018 in Prague and a K1 bronze medal at the 2013 European Championships in Kraków. She has also obtained multiple medals at U23 and Junior World and European Championships, showcasing her progression across different age categories.

Wolffhardt has represented Austria at two Olympic Games, participating in the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo where she finished 11th in the K1 event, and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, placing 14th in the C1 event and 31st in kayak cross. Her career has also seen podium finishes in the Canoe Slalom World Cup, including a silver in C1 in 2015 at Liptovský Mikuláš and a bronze in K1 in 2023 at Augsburg. Despite challenges such as injuries, she is known for her resilience and continued dedication to the sport.
