Under Coryell’s leadership, Hart quarterbacked the Cardinals to consecutive NFC East titles in both 1974 and 1975. His stellar performance during this era earned him four Pro Bowl selections spanning from 1974 to 1977, alongside being named the UPI NFC Offensive Player of the Year in 1974. In recognition of his leadership and character, he received the prestigious Byron ‘Whizzer’ White NFL Man of the Year award in 1975. After 18 seasons, primarily with the Cardinals, Hart briefly played for the Washington Redskins in 1984 before officially retiring from the NFL in 1985.

Hart’s lasting impact on the game was formally recognized in 2010 when the Arizona Cardinals inducted him into their Ring of Honor. The Dierdorf and Hart’s Steak House concluded its 30-year operation in 2013.
