Jim Parrack

Jim Parrack was born on February 8, 1981, in Allen, Texas. He relocated to Los Angeles, California, in 2001 to pursue acting, undergoing training at The Stella Adler Academy and later at the Playhouse West. His professional career began in 2006, with his screen debut in the drama film “Annapolis.” During his early career, he made guest appearances on various television series, including “Monk,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” and “Criminal Minds,” establishing a foundation in the acting industry.

A significant milestone in Parrack’s career occurred in 2008 when he was cast as Hoyt Fortenberry in the HBO series “True Blood.” He was a main cast member for the initial five seasons, departing briefly before returning for the seventh and final season. Concurrently with his television work, Parrack expanded his filmography, appearing in “Battle: Los Angeles” (2011), “Child of God” (2013), and “A Night in Old Mexico” (2013). His film achievements continued with roles in “Fury” (2014), “The Adderall Diaries” (2015), and “Suicide Squad” (2016). In 2014, he also joined the Broadway production of John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men” as the character Slim.

More recently, Parrack has taken on a starring role as Judson “Judd” Ryder in the Fox drama series “9-1-1: Lone Star,” commencing in 2020 and continuing through 2025. Additionally, he has engaged in production roles, serving as an executive producer for “Grace Point” (2023) and a producer for “Daisy’s” (2013) and “Post” (2011). He also directed “Post” (2011). Parrack holds the position of president at 120 Productions, Inc., demonstrating his involvement in various facets of the entertainment industry.
