Born in 1964 in Lakewood, Colorado, Jim Pirri developed an early interest in theatre. He pursued his passion at the University of Colorado, initially as an engineering major, but consistently engaged in theatrical productions. His early theatrical experience included roles in the 1987 Colorado Shakespeare Festival and performing as Guildenstern in the 1988 Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s production of Hamlet, where he starred alongside Val Kilmer. Pirri also contributed to the production team as a Fight Captain, showcasing his skills beyond acting.
Pirri’s career in film and television began in the early 1990s. He appeared in the 1989 film “The Wizard” as a Studio Tour Guide and the 1994 film “Ring of Steel”. Throughout the 1990s, he secured roles in various television series, including “Friends” (1997) as Sergei, “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” (1995) in three episodes as Agent Dan Scardino, and “3rd Rock from the Sun” (1997) in two episodes. His television work extended to recurring roles such as Jack Pappas in “Union Square” (1997-1998) and David Vega in “Victorious” (2010-2012).
In recent years, Pirri has become recognized for his significant contributions to video games and animated series. He lent his voice and motion capture talents to prominent video game characters like Angelo Bronte in “Red Dead Redemption 2” (2018), Rais in “Dying Light” (2015), William “Boozer” Gray in “Days Gone” (2019), and Kraven the Hunter in “Spider-Man 2” (2023). His voice acting resume also includes roles in animated series such as “The Owl House” (2020-2022) as Alador Blight and “Arcane” (2024). He continues to be active in the industry, taking on varied roles in both live-action and voice projects.
