Jim Pirri is an American actor and voice actor with over 30 years of experience. He is currently best known for a variety of roles, including Angelo Bronte in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Gondolier in Penguins of Madagascar. He also played the dad in award-winning Nickelodeon sitcom, Victorious, and has provided voices for characters in major games such as World of Warcraft, Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and Final Fantasy XV. Among his recent roles are voicing Alador Blight in The Owl House and Sal Maroni in Batman: The Long Halloween.
Although he majored in Engineering, Pirri theatrical journey began at the University of Colorado, which led him to perform at the state’s annual Shakespeare festival. Soon afterwards, he began to find work in TV, making one-off appearances in soaps and TV movies. His first recurring role was playing Asher Roth in the police drama series, Reasonable Doubts, in the early 1990s. He then played Jean-Claude in a TV series adaptation of The Valley of the Dolls and Jack Papas in an NBC sitcom called Union Square.
From the mid-2000s onwards, Pirri became increasingly involved in video-game voice acting. This led to him voicing Angelo Bronte in Red Dead Redemption 2, which sold over 44 million copies, won many awards, and is now rated as one of the greatest video games ever made. He has also done plenty of voice acting for television, including contributions to the likes of DreamWorks Dragons and Trollhunters.
