The charming sportsman Joe “The Gentleman” Perry is a professional snooker player, who has been place as high as No.8 in the world snooker rankings. He claimed his first professional ranking victory when he won the 2014-15 Players Championship, and was runner-up at the 2016-17 Masters. When he’s not lining up the black, he works as a snooker commentator for the BBC.
Born and raised in Cambridgeshire, Perry started playing snooker at a young age, and went on to impress at amateur events and tournaments. His breakthrough came when he reached the final of the 2001 European Open at the age of 26. Since then he has proven himself to be a formidable opponent on the baize across the globe and has claimed victory at the 2007-08 Championship League; the 2014-15 Players Championship; and the 2021-22 Welsh Open. He has also reached the quarter-finals at The Master twice, and the final of the prestigious event in 2016-17.
Perry regularly connects with his legions of followers and fans through Twitter, posting pictures and comments about his life both on and off the baize.
