Joey Ivie

Joey Ivie is a former NFL defensive tackle who played for multiple teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Tennessee Titans. After being selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft as the 228th overall pick, Joey Ivie launched his professional football career as a defensive tackle. Ivie’s strong athletic performance at his college Pro Day showcased his competitive readiness for the NFL, following a collegiate tenure at the University of Florida where he started 10 out of 11 games in his senior season, contributing 26 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He subsequently signed a four-year, $2.48 million contract with the Cowboys before being waived in September 2017.

Concluding the 2019 season, Ivie signed with the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad in November and was promoted to their active roster in December 2019. After being waived by the Titans in September 2020, he joined the Cleveland Browns’ practice squad, from which he was elevated to the Browns’ active roster for two games in October and November 2020. His journey continued with a signing to the Indianapolis Colts in July 2021, followed by a brief stint after being claimed off waivers by the Buffalo Bills in August 2021. In April 2022, Ivie transitioned to the United States Football League (USFL), signing with the Houston Gamblers.

Beyond his extensive career as an NFL defensive tackle, Ivie has also explored entrepreneurial ventures, notably participating in the launch of the Metaleague Non-fungible token (NFT) project on the Fractal Platform in 2022. This endeavor showcased his engagement with emerging digital landscapes, adding a unique dimension to his professional portfolio.
