Widely recognized for his role of Christian Clarke in EastEnders and for acting in several productions of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, John Partridge is an English actor, dancer, and singer. He starred in the 1998 film production of Cats and has made numerous theater and television appearances.
Originally studying ballet at the Royal Ballet Lower School, Partridge left college at the age of 16 to join the original cast of Cats. He was quickly named the crew’s dance captain and played various roles in several different productions. In 1998, he took on the role of Rum Tum Tugger in the official film version. Following his success with Cats, his most iconic role came in the BBC One soap opera EastEnders. He played Christian Clarke in nearly 400 episodes and is one of the series’ most beloved characters.
Partridge has appeared in numerous reality shows and television programs including Tumble, Celebrity Big Brother, and Family Fortunes. He has presented the National Lottery, won the 2018 season of Celebrity MasterChef, and was a judge on Over The Rainbow in 2011. He released Dames, Dudes + Cowboys Too in 2014, his first full-length album, and continues to appear in a wide selection of theater productions such as Chicago, Cinderella, and Cabaret.
