His early viral videos, such as “The Christmas Tree” and “Jackie & Debra,” garnered significant attention, with “The Christmas Tree” earning a Broadband Emmy nomination, and “Jackie & Debra” receiving The Comedy Smalls award in London. These videos collectively amassed over 20 million views on YouTube, establishing his online presence as a performer and writer.
Roberts’ career progressed with appearances on television shows including NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and “Watch What Happens Live.” He also collaborated with Margaret Cho on two international tours and her Showtime special. A significant turning point in his career came with his casting as Linda Belcher in the FOX animated prime-time comedy “Bob’s Burgers,” a role for which he received an Emmy nomination.
