Kristanna Loken

Kristanna Sommer Loken was born on October 8, 1979, in Ghent, New York. Encouraged by her mother, a former model, Loken embarked on a modeling career at 15. Her early career saw her participate in the 1994 Elite Model Look competition, where she placed third runner-up. This early exposure led her to New York and soon after, to acting roles, laying the groundwork for a transition to the entertainment industry. Her background also includes a strong heritage, with her father owning an apple farm in Upstate New York and her family having Norwegian and German roots.

Loken’s acting career began in 1994 with an appearance on “As the World Turns.” She subsequently gained further television experience with recurring roles in shows such as “Unhappily Ever After” and “Boy Meets World.” A significant turning point in her career came with her role as the gynoid T-X in the 2003 film “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines,” a performance for which she gained critical attention and two Saturn Award nominations. This led to further prominent roles in action and fantasy productions, including the lead in “BloodRayne” (2005) and a co-starring role in “In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale” (2007).

Beyond her acting, Loken has expanded her involvement in the film industry as a producer. Her production credits include co-executive producer for the television series “Painkiller Jane” (2007) and executive producer for the film “Lime Salted Love” (2006). She has continued to appear in a variety of television series, such as “The L Word” (2007–2008), “Burn Notice” (2011–2012), and “Lethal Weapon” (2017), showcasing her versatility across different genres. Loken continues to take on diverse roles in film and television, demonstrating a consistent presence in the entertainment landscape.
