Scott’s journey in professional hockey began after his collegiate play for the Michigan Tech Huskies from 2002 to 2006, where he accumulated 10 points (5 goals, 5 assists) over 126 games. Following his college tenure, he signed as a free agent with the Houston Aeros in the American Hockey League (AHL) on September 26, 2006, where he established a strong physical presence.
