Jokke Sommer

Jokke Sommer was born on June 6, 1986, in Oslo, Norway. His career in extreme sports began with skydiving in 2007. To fund his training, he sold his dirtbikes and then completed over 200 jumps within two months in the USA. By 2008, Sommer started BASE jumping in Norway. His initial video, “Wingsuit Base in Romsdalen, Norway,” uploaded to YouTube, gained over 17,000 views, marking his early breakthrough.

Sommer’s career progression accelerated with his “Dream Lines” video series. In 2010, he launched “Dream Lines – Part I,” showcasing his flights near cliffs and mountains worldwide. The series expanded with “Dream Lines – Part III,” which garnered over 10 million views on YouTube, and “Dream Lines IV,” which exceeded four million views. In 2013, Sommer participated in “The Perfect Flight,” a web series by Epic TV, where he performed stunts in notable locations such as Rio de Janeiro, the French Alps, and the Tianmen mountains in China. He also featured in music videos, including “Free” by Rudimental and Emeli Sandé, where he flew over the Eiger mountains, and “Dangerous” by Within Temptation, performing stunts through narrow gaps.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Sommer has developed a public presence through various media. He has produced several self-made projects for Red Bull and appeared in multiple TV shows across six seasons. Additionally, he has worked as a stuntman in commercials for various brands. Sommer also engages in motivational speaking, sharing insights from his experiences as an extreme sports athlete. He is known for his positive and outgoing personality, often focusing on staying grounded and humble.
