Jon Rudnitsky was born on November 22, 1989, in Harrington Park, New Jersey. He pursued his education in acting at the University of Southern California’s BFA Acting Conservatory program, where he received the John Ritter Memorial Award For Outstanding Comedic Performance. Rudnitsky commenced his career performing with the Los Angeles comedy troupe The Groundlings. This early experience in sketch comedy and improvisation provided a foundation for his later work in television.

Rudnitsky gained broader recognition in 2015 when he joined the cast of “Saturday Night Live” for its 41st season as a featured player. During his tenure, his “Dirty Dancing” Weekend Update appearance was noted as a season highlight. Following his time on “SNL,” Rudnitsky transitioned into film and television roles. He appeared in the Nancy Meyers-produced film “Home Again” (2017) alongside Reese Witherspoon. He also featured in Netflix’s “Set It Up” (2018) and Tyler Perry’s “Nobody’s Fool.”

His television work includes a role opposite George Clooney in the Hulu series “Catch-22” (2019) and playing Young Larry in an installment of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Rudnitsky also took on a lead role in Fox’s series “The Big Leap” (2020) and lent his voice to Disney’s “Wish” (2023) and the animated Paramount feature “Under the Boardwalk” (2023). As a stand-up comedian, he has performed on “CONAN” and Comedy Central’s “THE COMEDY JAM,” and regularly performs at The Comedy Cellar in New York. He was also selected as one of the “New Faces” at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.
