Jonathan Vilma

Jonathan Vilma, a pivotal member of the 2001 National Championship team at the University of Miami, went on to achieve significant success both on and off the football field. During his collegiate career from 2000 to 2003, Vilma consistently led the Miami Hurricanes in tackles, earning First-team All-Big East honors three times (2001, 2002, 2003) and becoming a semi-finalist for the prestigious Dick Butkus Award. Demonstrating excellence beyond athletics, he also earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Miami’s School of Business Administration and was a three-time Academic All-Big East Conference selection. His impressive performance led to him being selected as the 12th overall pick by the New York Jets in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft.

Beyond his broadcasting career, Vilma has actively pursued various entrepreneurial ventures. He established the Jonathan Vilma Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on supporting rebuilding efforts in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, particularly through the establishment of a charter school. He has also diversified his business portfolio through strategic investments in real estate and engagement in the technology sector, leveraging his acumen from his finance background to impact multiple industries.
