Jordan Brown

Born on October 9, 1987, in Antrim, Northern Ireland, Jordan Brown developed an early interest in snooker. His amateur career saw him achieve significant success, including winning the Northern Ireland Amateur Championship in both 2008 and 2009. These early achievements provided a foundation for his professional aspirations. He turned professional in 2009 but lost his tour card after his debut season. For eight years, he worked in a petrol station while continuing to pursue his snooker passion at an amateur level. In 2018, Brown regained his professional status through Q School, marking a significant turning point in his career.

Brown’s return to the professional circuit was marked by steady progression. In 2020, he made his debut at the World Snooker Championship, competing at the Crucible Theatre for the first time. This appearance solidified his presence on the world stage. His most notable achievement came in 2021 when he won the Welsh Open, defeating Ronnie O’Sullivan in the final. This victory was particularly significant as he was ranked 81st at the time, making him the lowest-ranked player to win a ranking event in 28 years. This win also made him only the fourth player from Northern Ireland to secure a ranking event title. Following this success, Brown continued to compete, reaching the semi-finals of the 2023 International Championship and the quarter-finals of the 2021 German Masters, further establishing his position in professional snooker.
