United Kingdom Jack Lisowski is recognized as one of the most dynamic players on the World Snooker Tour, known for his attacking style and consistent presence in ranking event finals.

Born on June 25, 1991, in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, Jack Lisowski began playing snooker at an early age. His talent was recognized early, securing a Junior Pot Black victory at the Crucible Theatre in 2007 at just 15 years old, and followed by a win at the English Amateur Championship in 2010. That same year, he turned professional after topping the PIOS rankings with two event wins. In his early professional years, Lisowski made an immediate impact, reaching two minor ranking event finals and the quarter-finals of the 2013 China Open. He also qualified for the televised stages of the World Championship for the first time in 2013. In 2008, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, undergoing 16 chemotherapy sessions before achieving remission.
Lisowski established himself on the professional circuit, consistently reaching ranking event finals. The 2018/19 season marked a significant professional progression, as he reached his first ranking event finals at the Riga Masters and China Open, losing both to Neil Robertson. He then reached the Scottish Open final in 2019, followed by three more ranking event finals in the 2020/21 season, all against Judd Trump. His career best World Championship performance occurred in 2022, reaching the quarter-finals before a decisive loss to John Higgins. The 2022/23 season saw him reach the semi-finals of both the UK Championship and Masters tournaments for the first time, losing to Mark Allen and Mark Williams respectively. Throughout his career, Lisowski has been known for his attacking play and has compiled one professional maximum break at the 2012 UK Championship qualifiers.
His off-table life includes a marriage to Jamie Livingston in 2015. He carries a familial connection to Ukraine, being one-quarter Ukrainian, with his grandfather settling in England after World War II. During the 2022 World Snooker Championship, his request to wear a Ukrainian flag badge was disallowed by the World Snooker Tour. He is also known to be close friends with fellow snooker player Judd Trump. Lisowski made a cameo appearance in the 2020 snooker film ‘Break’.
