Widely recognized for his appearances in the Harry Potter film series, Josh Herdman is an actor and MMA fighter from Hampton, England. He appeared in all eight Harry Potter films, playing the infamous Slytherin student Gregory Goyle.
Herdman started acting at just 7 years old and was cast as the sinister Gregory Goyle when he was 13. As one of Draco Malfoy’s sidekicks, Herdman made his debut in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in 2001, later appearing in all eight movies over the next ten years. He also performed voice work for several video games in the series including 2009’s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. In addition to his success in the Harry Potter universe, Herdman has also made several appearances on television, making recurring appearances in UGetMe, Marcella, and Alex Rider. Herdman also appeared in Wizards vs. Aliens, Strike Back, Coming Up, and White House Farm, as well as a role in the 2018 film Robin Hood starring Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx.
After five years of practicing jiujitsu, Herdman made his official MMA debut in April 2016. He won the march against fighter Janusz Walachowski in East London, also winning his second match in 2018. With a diverse background as both an accomplished actor and professional fighter, Josh Herdman is one of the most unique talents in the industry.
