Josh Segarra is an American actor whose credits cover television, film, and theatre. He first found fame playing Hector Ruiz, the star of the 2009 remake of kids show The Electric Company before being cast in major shows such as Arrow and Orange is the New Black (he played Adrian Chase/Prometheus/Simon Morrison in the former and Stefanovic in the latter). On Broadway, he starred as Mick in Lysistrata Jones and originated the part of Emilio in On Your Feet! His most recent roles include a main part in a new Apple TV sitcom called The Big Door Prize and a part in the new Scream movie.
Segarra was born in Florida and is of Puerto Rican heritage. He originally wanted to be a professional wrestler as a child but eventually turned to acting and studied at the Tisch School of the Arts. He made his screen debut in a 2005 TV movie called Vampire Bats but his big break came with The Electric Company, a remake of the classic 1970s show. He also got involved in more adult acting with appearances in major series such as Homeland and Blue Bloods. He starred in the US version of the British comedy series Sirens before getting another big break in 2016 when joined the cast of Arrow, appearing in the fifth, sixth, and eighth seasons. He also had a recurring role playing Stefanovic in the sixth and seventh seasons of the classic series Orange is the New Black.
Segarra’s recent roles have also included the much-talked-about series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
