The wonderful artist Cari Elise Fletcher, who goes by the name FLETCHER professionally, is a singer and songwriter. She first came to the attention of the American public when she appeared as a contestant on the premiere season of the reality TV talent show The X Factor in 2011. Her debut single, War Paint, came out in 2015, while her second single, 2016’s Wasted Youth, hit No.1 on the Billboard Emerging Artist Chart. She was included on the Forbes 30 under 30 list in 2022, and that same year released her debut album, Girl of My Dreams.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Fletcher began taking vocal lessons when she was five-years-old. After High School she attended the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University, and during her time there took a year out to live in Nashville and pursue music full-time. Under the name FLETCHER she released her debut single, War Paint, in 2015, which went viral on Spotify. Prior to that she was a contestant on the very first season of the hit reality TV talent show The X Factor. After returning to NYU and graduating in 2016, she released her second single, Wasted Youth, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artist chart. This was followed by her debut EP, Finding Fletcher. She moved to Los Angeles and in 2018 signed with Capitol Records. Her 2019 single, Undrunk, was certified Gold, as was her 2020 single, Bitter. Her debut studio album, Girl of My Dreams, was released in 2022.
