Josh Todd is an American singer, songwriter, and actor, best known as the frontman of the hard rock band Buckcherry. His career spans decades, marked by musical achievements, television appearances, and brand collaborations. After co-founding the hard rock band Buckcherry in 1995, Josh Todd went on to release their self-titled debut album in 1999, which featured the hit song ‘Lit Up’ and garnered recognition in Rolling Stone’s ‘What’s Hot in the New Millennium.’ Prior to Buckcherry, Todd fronted the Hollywood glam rock band Slamhound, which was signed to Skydoor Records. Following their acclaimed debut, Buckcherry released their second album, ‘Time Bomb,’ in 2001.
In 2003, Todd launched a solo project, releasing the album ‘You Made Me’ under the band name Josh Todd, which saw distribution by DRT Entertainment in the US and JVCKenwood Victor Entertainment in Japan. He supported this album with significant tour dates alongside iconic acts such as Aerosmith and The Who. Todd reformed Buckcherry in 2005, continuing the band’s trajectory with new members and embarking on extensive touring and album cycles. Beyond his musical endeavors, Todd has also built a noteworthy acting resume, appearing as ‘Rudy’ in the 2002 film The New Guy, and ‘Hutch’ in 2006’s The Still Life, followed by a role in the 2008 thriller Eagle Eye.
Todds artistic contributions also extend to film, including work on a short film associated with Buckcherry’s ‘Confessions’ album, further demonstrating his creative range. As the enduring frontman of Buckcherry, he remains an active and influential figure in hard rock, consistently touring and releasing new material.
