Perry Groves transitioned from a successful football career, marked by two League Championships with Arsenal, to a prominent media pundit and entrepreneurial venture in sports event management. After signing as an apprentice for Colchester United in 1981 and turning professional in 1982, Perry Groves went on to play 142 league games for the club, scoring 26 goals over four seasons. His impressive performance led to his transfer to Arsenal in September 1986 for £50,000, marking him as the first signing under manager George Graham. Known for his enthusiasm and pace, Groves quickly contributed to Arsenal’s success, playing a key role in their 1987 Littlewoods Cup final triumph and reaching the final again in 1988.
