Judd Trump secured his breakthrough year in 2011, claiming his first ranking title at the China Open and reaching the World Championship final. Having turned professional in 2005, Trump established a remarkable early career, becoming the youngest player to make a competitive 147 break in 2004, aged 14, and one of the youngest to compete at the Crucible Theatre in 2007, aged 17. His aggressive and entertaining ‘naughty snooker’ style quickly garnered a significant fanbase. Later in 2011, he captured his first Triple Crown title at the UK Championship.
During this prolific phase, he secured victories at the Northern Ireland Open (2018, 2019, 2020), International Championship (2019), Yushan World Open (2019), German Masters (2020), Players Championship (2020), and Gibraltar Open (2020). Trump’s consistent success has continued, marked by numerous milestones. He was awarded an MBE in 2022 and inducted into the Snooker Hall of Fame in 2021. With a career total of 30 ranking titles, nine maximum breaks, and over 1,100 century breaks, he remains a dominant force.
In late 2024, Trump relocated to Hong Kong, obtaining residency under the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme.
